While smartphones and wearables mainly got the attention at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 as expected, there were some tablets and 2-in-1s as well. Alcatel introduced the Alcatel Plus 12 which is a successor of the Alcatel Plus 10 that was released at MWC 2016 last year. For those who are not familiar with this tablet, it’s a Windows based 2-in-1 tablet. We don’t know much about the Alcatel Plus 12 Qatar price yet as of this moment, but it’s expected to be around 1600 QAR considering Alcatel’s pricing history. To find out more about this tablet including the Alcatel Plus 12 release date Qatar, keep reading.
If you didn’t guess from the name already, it’s an almost 12-inch tablet. It comes with an 11.6-inch screen showing 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It’s quite a good looking tablet and is quite thin at 7.9mm and weighs about 596g. The keyboard adds an extra 6.9mm to it. This time, there is no camera on the back and users only get a 5-megapixel camera on the front. The metallic finish on the back looks really attractive and gives the 2-in-1 hybrid a premium look. For those who are looking for elegance and portability, this tablet definitely offers a nice balance of both. Considering the Alcatel Plus 12 Qatar price, it’s definitely an attractive tablet with decent build quality and a nice full HD display.
One of the problems of laptop/tablet hybrids is the absence of all the necessary ports. Thankfully, the Alcatel Plus 12 comes with a wide range of ports once you add the keyboard base. There is a micro-HDMI port, USB Type-C port, microSD card slot and 3.5mm audio jack port on the tablet while the LTE keyboard comes with a standard USB-A port, 3FF SIM slot, 7-hard pins and 4G on/off button. The base also offers LTE connection support and can work as an LTE hotspot. Memory shouldn’t be a problem either as the LTE keyboard includes 256MB NAND flash + 128MB LPDDR2 if the built-in 32GB storage is not enough. There is the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and Microsoft Surface Book if you are looking for a serious laptop/tablet hybrid. However, these are quite expensive compared to the Alcatel Plus 12 Qatar price.
Battery life is another major problem users face but things are expected to be better with the Alcatel Plus 12. The tablet itself includes 6900mAh battery while the keyboard can add 2580mAh more. Other than the mentioned features, users get dual speakers, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth and Cellular LED indicator. There are cheaper options like the Asus Transformer T100TA and Lenovo Miix 720 that you can check out right away as the Alcatel Plus 12 release date Qatar is still a mystery.
Alcatel didn’t reveal much about the availability and pricing yet, but it’s expected to show up sometimes in April, 2017.
