Our favorite Motorola Razr phone is back with a new foldable display twist and while it’s easy to dismiss the phone as a nostalgic cash grabbing gimmick, this new form factor really works for foldable displays. To find out whether it’s really worth spending money or not and the Motorola Razr 2020 Qatar price, continue reading.
It is easy to fall in love with the phone at first glance whether you were a fan of the original Motorola Razr phone or not. Although there are multiple phones featuring foldable display available at the market, this one makes more sense and looks more comfortable to use. When the phone is unfolded, users will get a 6.2-inch screen showing 2142 x 876 pixels resolution and 373ppi of pixel density. At this point, all of us are aware of the crease problem in foldable display phones but this one somehow managed to make the crease less visible. However, users will feel it and the plastic display is quite easy to scratch. The build quality of the hinge also doesn’t look sturdy enough and it will be really easy for dusts to get under the display which can be a problem as seen in the Samsung Galaxy Fold. Just like the original Motorola Razr phone, there is a lower chin part where users will find a button with fingerprint sensor. Right after the Motorola Razr 2020 Qatar release date, it can be found in two different colors: Blush Gold and Noir Black. There is also a secondary display that can be accessed without unfolding the phone: a 2.7-inch G-OLED display. It will give users quick access to notifications and work as a display for taking selfies using the rear camera.
Once you look past form factor and the nostalgic design, you will realize that this phone doesn’t really pack any high-end phone like feature. There is a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture that can be also used for taking selfies as well. As for the actual selfie camera, it’s a 5-megapixel one. This camera is not good enough to compete with the likes of Samsung Galaxy Note 10 or Apple iPhone 11 Pro but will deliver decent results in a well-lit environment. It’s definitely disappointing as the Motorola Razr 2020 Qatar price is quite higher than those two phones.
Another disappointing side of the Motorola Razr 2020 is its poor battery life. It’s a 2510mAh Li-Po battery which has been divided into two cells. As most of the phones nowadays are packing at least a 3000mAh battery, a phone with a big 6.2-inch screen should have definitely included a bigger battery. The processor is also a mid-range one: Qualcomm SDM710 Snapdragon 710 10nm octa-core processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB built-in storage. This phone only supports eSIM for now which can be a deal breaker. Some of the other notable features are: splash resistance, Android 9.0 Pie OS, fingerprint sensor, USB 3.0 port and 15W fast charging. We will be able to test the battery after the Motorola Razr 2020 release date Qatar.
The Motorola Razr 2020 is quite expensive and will set you back about QAR 5500 . It’s not available internationally yet and the Motorola Razr 2020 Qatar release date is expected sometimes in the first quarter of 2020. There are the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra you can check out if you are not interested to wait for its release.
