Oppo Reno 4 Pro 5G, the newest addition to the Oppo Reno series is officially here with the target to offer mid-range phone lovers a decent phone at an affordable price. However, with the mid-range phone market being already crowded with the likes of Google Pixel 5 and Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G, that’s not really an easy task. To find out how this phone holds up against its competition and the Oppo Reno 4 Pro 5G Qatar price, continue reading.
Although it’s getting more and more difficult for smartphone companies to come up with a unique design on the front side as the phones are going bezel-less, Oppo Reno 4 Pro 5G doesn’t look like a complete rip off of other recently released phones. The display along with the Gorilla Glass 6 back and shiny aluminum frame gives the phone a premium feel. As more and more phones are getting displays with a higher refresh rate, the Oppo Reno 4 Pro 5G comes with 90Hz refresh rate and this combined with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution 6.55-inch display makes the phone quite pleasing to use. However, considering the Oppo Reno 4 Pro 5G, as phones like OnePlus Nord also includes a 90Hz refresh rate but is more affordable.
These mid-range phones from Oppo are not really known for offering stellar camera performance and this one is no different. The Oppo Reno 4 Pro 5G comes with three different cameras on the back, one main 48-megapixel wide angleIMX586 Sony 26mm lens, one 13-megapixel 52mm telephoto lens and one 12-megapixel ultrawide lens. This camera setup does offer good performance but there are phones like the Google Pixel 4A or Apple iPhone SE 2020 that offers similar performance if not better and are more affordable. Images captured using the ultra-wide lens doesn’t look that good as the quality drops when compared with the main camera. However, the Night Mode has been improved and there is also an Ultra Steady mode that offers amazing smooth video footage. The selfie camera is a single 32-megapixel 26mm wide-angle sensor which is quite good.
One of the major problems with the Oppo Reno 4 Pro was its processor. While the Oppo Reno 4 Pro 5G’s processor is not really a high-end one, the new Qualcomm SDM765 Snapdragon 765G 7nm octa-core processor paired with an optional 8/12 GB of RAM can certainly handle multi-tasking and heavy games without showing too much framerate drops. One of the features that makes this phone unique compared to its competition is it’s SuperVOOC 2.0 65W fast charging support which can fill up the 4000mAh battery in just 36 minutes according to their advertisements. Some of the other noteworthy features are: Android 10 OS with ColorOS 7.2, 128/256GB optional built-in storage, fingerprint sensor under display, USB Type-C 3.1 port, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.1.
The Oppo Reno 4 Pro 5G is available for about QAR 2500 at the moment.
