There was a time when the Plus version in the Samsung Galaxy S series used to be the most expensive phone in the lineup but that’s not the case anymore. This year, Samsung decided to release the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus in the middle of the cheaper standard Galaxy S20 version and the more expensive S20 Ultra. To find out what makes this phone different from its siblings and the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus Qatar release date, keep reading.
It’s not just the name that got bumped to S20 from S10, almost all the specs got a boost as well including the size of the display. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus comes with a 6.7-inch screen showing 3200 x 1440 pixels resolution and 525ppi of pixel density. What makes this display different than its predecessors is its 120Hz refresh rate. However, there is a catch as users will have to decrease their resolution to Full HD if they want to enjoy the 120Hz refresh rate. Although the front side of the display looks quite similar to the old Galaxy S10 phones, there are some changes in the placement of the cameras on both front and back side. Moreover, there is no dedicated Bixby button anymore. There will be three different colors to look out for after the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus Qatar release date: Cosmic Black, Cosmic Grey and Cloud Blue.
Most of the Unpacked event of Samsung was just about the camera and there is a good reason why. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus comes with a quad camera setup on the back and one of the cameras is a 64-megapixel telephoto sensor with f/2.0 aperture. This camera is accompanied by a 12-megapixel 26mm wide sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 12-megapixel 13mm ultrawide sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a 0.3-megapixel TOF 3D depth sensor. What makes this camera setup even better is the 8K video capturing support, new zooming features, improved low light performance features and Super Steady mode. As the phone is officially not here yet, we will have to wait for the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus Qatar release date to see these features in action. The front camera is a 10-megapixel 26mm wide sensor which sounds similar to the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus camera. There is the Huawei Mate 30 Pro and Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max if you want to check out some more phones in the same price range as the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus Qatar price.
All these new features mean the phone needs a big battery and Samsung definitely delivered in this area. The company packed the phone with a 4500mAh battery but it’s disappointing to see 25W fast battery charging instead of 45W. It’s also packing the same 5G features included in the more expensive Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra. Some of the other noteworthy features include: IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865/Exynos 990 processor depending on the version, 12GB of RAM, 128/256/512GB built-in storage, microSDXC card slot, fingerprint sensor under the display, USB Power Delivery 3.0, reverse wireless charging and Samsung DeX support.
It will be a while before the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus will show up officially as the official release date is 6 March, 2020. Just like last year, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus Qatar price will be available for about QAR 4400 . If you are not ready to wait that long, there is the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip you can check out.
